Embossing and Debossing Techniques

Textured labels make end products more attractive and eye-catching in all aspects. The raised elements allow you to focus the buyer’s attention on specific details of the design, and at the same time the interesting and intriguing tactile effects provoke a particular interaction between the final user and your product. By using Embossing or Debossing we can enhance the result of the final printed product, adding to it amazing three dimensional effects. Thus the client will remember it visually, but also sensibly.

Embossing

Embossing refers to the method of pressing the paper and creating volume, while preserving the properties of the material – without additional shine or alteration of the color. Embossing is widely used both to create delicate textures and to emphasize important elements like the logo, the name of the product and/or specific details.
For the production of this label, a combination of embossing and hot foil stamping is applied to achieve this magnificent texture and to fascinate and capture the attention of the buyer.

Debossing

Relief can be not only convex, but concave or depressed too. While Embossing results in a raised surface, Debossing is a printing process that results in pressure in the texture of the material.
By using Debossing as a print finishing technique, we can highlight decorative elements of the product or even create new structured surfaces of the paper and thus imitate natural fibers or jacquard patterns.
