Techniques for relief

Textured labels make final products more attractive and eye-catching in all aspects. Raised elements allow you to focus the buyer’s attention on specific design details, while interesting and intriguing tactile effects provoke a special interaction between the end user and your product. By using embossing or debossing, we can enhance the final printed product by adding incredible three-dimensional effects to it. This way, the client will remember it visually, but also sensory.

Embossing

Embossing is a method of pressing paper and creating volume, while preserving the properties of the material – without additional shine or color change. Embossing is widely used both to create delicate textures and to highlight important elements such as logos, product names and/or specific details.
A combination of embossing and hot foil stamping was applied to create this label to achieve this gorgeous texture and to captivate and attract the buyer’s attention.

Debossing

Relief can be not only convex but also concave. While embossing results in a raised surface, debossing is a printing process that results in pressure on the texture of the material.

Using debossing as a printing finishing technique, we can highlight decorative elements of the product or even create new structured surfaces on the paper and thus imitate natural fibers or jacquard patterns.
